The connector, available as an extension to Tasktop Pro, allows software developers to access all tasks and stories housed in ScrumWorks Pro from within the Eclipse IDE. With no need to toggle between multiple applications, developers using ScrumWorks for project management will be able to remain focused on a single, all-inclusive IDE. For each ScrumWorks artifact accessed in the IDE, the novel task-focused interface shows only the most relevant source code, reducing information overload when working on large applications and resulting in dramatic and measurable productivity gains.
Additional functionality provided by Tasktop Pro and the ScrumWorks Connector includes:
- Flexible Integration with Desktop Applications. Tasktop Pro integrates popular applications, such as Microsoft Outlook and Gmail, with a developer's task-focused work flow and enables ScrumWorks stories to be created from email threads.
- Convenient Interlinking. By integrating ScrumWorks artifacts with the IDE, the Connector allows users to "bridge" related artifacts. For example, if a user story refers to a portion of code, the developer can create a hyperlink between them for quick recall.
- Time Tracking. Tasktop automatically tracks time spent for each ScrumWorks task, so developers no longer need to remember what they work on; they can simply generate a report. Developers retain full control to adjust the recorded tasks and times as needed to account for meetings.
