Mike,

It sounds like you're all set up now, am I right? Let me know if you need any additional help getting set up.

For others that might have questions about how to set up their Outlook to connect with Tasktop here's the best link: http://help.tasktop.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.tasktop.help.ui/userguide/outlook.html

I personally use Email tasks all of the time. It is a great way to quickly turn an incoming email into an action item that appears in my Task List. In Outlook (after some configuration) all you need to do is drag the email of interest to a special folder. In GMail you can just add a label to the email. Either way, it's great to quickly move your email tasks from your inbox to your Task List, because your inbox should NOT be used as a Task List.

I guess in this version of Outlook, I was looking at "Mail Folders" tab but needed to be in "All Folders" to see the folders Tasktop created.

I tried creating a folder called "Sync Issues" in Outlook under my mailbox but get a message saying "a folder with this name already exists."

David, I am trying to get outlook hooked with the @Email query created when I setup Tasktop Pro in the Task List but I am missing some steps/knowledge.

How do I move random "email requests" in Outlook to the "Task List" in Eclipse?

When will an email show in the @Email query? It looks like it is mapped to a "Sync Issues" folder in Outlook but don't see it in Outlook

Please note that in a response to a post on dzone, I have simplified this entry to focus on two kinds of queries: "All Mine" and "All Related". There's another commonly used query setup mode where the Task List is configured with a query for each person that you collaborate with. Since it's tricky to avoid duplicates in the Task List when you have a catch all query and queries for collaborators, I'll discuss that in an upcoming blog post.
